About the Project

Kairo is a collaborative task app for iPhone and Android. The name comes from the Greek kairos, the right moment. It keeps tasks, shows the day on a calendar, and stays in sync with friends, in language that does not scold you for falling behind.

A task has a title, a description, a priority, and an optional start and end. Swipe to complete or delete, and the streak only counts the day you actually finished. The calendar shows day, week, and month, including a friend's public tasks or a Busy block when their calendar is private. Focus mode is a 25-minute timer on one task, with a short break after, and a reminder can nudge you to start in 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. A calico cat, also named Kairo, reflects how the day is going. The app is in English and Spanish.

I started it in August 2026 because I wanted a task app that matched how my attention works, and that I could change myself. It is Flutter, with Supabase for Postgres, auth, and realtime, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for push. Each feature follows Clean Architecture and BLoC. Tasks work offline: the list opens from a copy on the device, and edits wait in order until the connection comes back. It is MIT-licensed and still in active development.
